Statement from MYA Chairman
Following on from my statement of the 19th October 2015 concerning the late notification of Council Motions I have had some responses indicating that some members are technically concerned that Council filed an amendment requesting approval for a variation on dates to allow the original motions to be voted upon.
This was done with the best intentions whilst acknowledging that the deadline date for motions, according to the constitution, had been missed. This amendment could of course have been rejected if a majority of clubs felt this was unacceptable
However in the light of the comments, and upon reflection, I have decided to withdraw all Council motions from the 2015 AGM
Under Constitution clause 11.1 the subscription automatically remains at the current level.
This statement has been approved by the Emergency Committee on behalf of Council and will be posted on the web site, sent by email to all Club Secretaries and will be
uploaded to the Knowledge BaseAny votes received for the motions will be ignored but votes for Council Officers are still required
I apologise for any confusion or inconvenience that has been caused
