Well Done to Brad Gibson and Rob Walsh for winning Event 1 and 2 of the 2016 IOM Ranking season, in difficult sailing conditions they were the most consistent performers on each day, and deserved winners. there were some news names on the leader board and a return to form for a few old names and the overall entry quality is great to see.
Making good use of HMS, Jes Collier and the team from Eastbourne ran 3 large fleets which was fantastic to see on the water, with many passers by commenting on all the boats.
As with all our ranking events, it’s not only about the top skippers but also those further down the fleet and it was great to see some new faces in Pete Smith, Alistair Hodge, Dave Adam, and Rick Ford although their early skirmishes, we hope not their last!
As always, many thanks to the host club, Eastbourne & District MYC, without whom the 50 skippers would not have been able to enjoy their sailing.
There were many people around with cameras and videos so hopefully we will get sight of these, but until we do, check out Sue Browns Flickr HERE where you will see her usual high quality images.
