Received from Chipstead SC RSC

In March Chipstead SC Radio Sailing Club held its first two radio sailing open meetings. They were both very well received by the visitors and club members that entered. It is hoped in the future we will be able to apply to host larger  and regional open meeting for these classes.

On Saturday, 12th March a Dragon Force meeting took place in a very light north easterly breeze. Four club boats and six visitors braved the light conditions and participated in thirteen races during the day.
The overall results was
1). Buzz Coleman from Coal House Fort
2). David Brown from Eastbourne and District SC
3). William Grant from Chipstead SC
4). John Carauna from Chipstead SC

On Saturday 19th March an International One Metre open meeting was held in near perfect conditions for their main “A” rig. Fourteen boats were racing which included eight visitors. Eighteen races were held during the course of the day which allowed the overall winner to demonstrate a skill which had previously won him three world dinghy titles and numerous other European and National titles.

1). Colin Goodman from Coal House Fort
2). Colin Trower from Hampton Court
3). Jeremy Collier from Eastbourne and District SC
4). David Hope from  Harwich & Dovercourt
5). Peter Crisp from Chipstead SC
