2019 10R DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP 19TH MAY
At the London Model Yacht Club & MYSA
The Round Pond, Kensington Gardens
This NOR is issued on 16th April

1. EVENT SCHEDULE
Sunday 19th May 8-30am Registration
10-00am Warning signal (at the Pond)
Racing will start as soon as possible but not less than 15 minutes after the briefing, times and details of any breaks will be given in the briefing
5-30pm Prize giving (at clubhouse)
No race will start after 4-30, any race in progress at 5-00 will be abandoned.
Competitor briefing is to be at the Round Pond and is scheduled for 15 minutes before the first warning signal each day.

VENUE: London Model Yacht Club & Model Yacht Sailing Association (LMYC/MYSA), Black wooden gate (manned) leading in 100m to the Club which is opposite No. 2 Palace Court, London W2 4HR, a building on north side of Bayswater Road. We are on the south side of Bayswater Road. Our Grid Ref: TQ256 805 & Ordinates: 51°30.36.36N 0° 11.28W.

2. ORGANISING AUTHORITY
The organising authority for the event is the Model Yachting Association (MYA) and responsibility for the management of the event is delegated by the MYA to The London Model Yacht Club & MYSA.

3. RULES
The event will be governed by the current version of the following rules:
• Racing Rules of Sailing as changed by the RRS Appendix E
• Equipment Rules of Sailing
• MYA National Championships Regulations
• MYA Standard Sailing Instructions
• Class Rules
Copies of the above may be viewed on the Official Notice Board at the event.
Before the event copies of the above may be found in the Race and Event section of the MYA Knowledge Base.

4. REGISTRATION
The following shall be presented to the Race Committee at any time requested during the event:
• valid class certificate for the boat to be raced
• if applicable, the owner’s valid personal sail number certificate
• emergency contact details.
• for foreign competitors, proof of membership of their Delegated National Member

If any of the above is not available at the event, but a competitor claims that they exist, the competitor shall sign a declaration to that effect and send a copy of the missing document to the Race Committee within seven days of the end of the event.

5. SCORING AND RACING SYSTEM
Scoring and Racing System shall be as per Section 4.

6. FREQUENCIES
Permitted frequencies are 27 MHz, 40 MHz and 2.4 GHz
For frequency bands other than 2.4GHz, a minimum of five (5) frequencies shall be stated on the entry form and be available at the event.

7. PROTESTS
A protest committee will be appointed by the Race Committee to hear any protests arising from the event and may comprise competitors not involved in the incident.

8. ENTRIES & ELIGIBILITY
Entry is open to all MYA affiliated members and is also open to members of foreign clubs affiliated to a Delegated National Member of IRSA

The number of entries shall be limited by the provisions of the Heat Management System (HMS).

Entries shall be made before the closing date for entries, 16th May 2019 as follows:

• Online, using the on line entry system via the MYA website.
• By e-mail attaching a completed event entry form.
• By post sending a copy of the form in the MYA Yearbook

After the closing date late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the organising authority and shall incur an additional late entry fee.

9. ENTRY FEES
The entry fee of £10-00 shall be paid on the day.
Entries should be sent to Dave Andrews, see section 10.
Cheques shall be made payable to LMYC &MYSA

10. COMPETITORS WITH DISABILITY
Competitors with a disability who require any form of help or special requirements should, prior to entry, get in touch with the club contact Dave Andrews via e mail (daveandjanandrews@tiscali.co.uk) to confirm that suitable arrangements can be made. The onus is on the competitor to establish whether the available facilities are adequate before deciding to enter the event
By participating in a race conducted under these rules, each competitor, boat owner or support person agrees to accept these rules.

11. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
All those entering or taking part in this event do so at their own risk and responsibility.
The Model Yachting Association, the organising authority, the host club and any other parties involved in the organisation of this event disclaim any and every responsibility whatsoever for loss, damage, injury or inconvenience that might occur to persons and goods both ashore or on the water as a consequence of entering or participating in the event covered by this Notice of Race.

At all times the responsibility for the safety of their boat and themselves plus the decision to participate or continue must rest with the competitor.

12 PARKING.
Free and on site, next to the LMYC Club House during Friday afternoon, Saturday & Sunday.
Overnight parking (cars, campervans &c) is NOT available. Negotiations are however in hand with The Royal Parks/Kensington Palace, but we expect a negative response. NCP car park next to the Club.

13 TOILETS.
Several toilets are within easy reach of the Club and of The Round Pond. Details to follow.
