Round 3 of the M&S IOM district championship attracted 22 top class skippers from around the country. The event started on the south course however the wind was not playing ball and it soon required the fleet to move over to the north course. This was set up by John Shorrock and Les Thorn during the 2 back to back races on the south course to maintain progress. it was a good decision although wind direction was still not ideal. after 6 races the fleet went to lunch. a number of races were completed where the wind rotated to the forecast and we moved back to the south course where it was the best racing of the day. The leaderboard changed a few times as the top placed skippers were very close on points However it was Colin Goodman that won the day and Rob Walsh only 3 points behind was second and Peter Stollery third.
Thanks to the Datchet Water radio Sailing Club Team of John Shorrock, Les Thorn, Austin Guerrier and PRO Terry Rensch for running the event
