Last weekend the MYA Midland District held its AGM meeting by Zoom, thanks to Colin for setting it up. He has also completed the minutes from the meeting, and they are in the “Administration” area of the website. The website has also been updated with a list of the new District Committee members, and we have had an offer from Paul Barton (Whitefriars SC) to help with the website, so thanks to him for joining the team.
There is also a copy of the new District Constitution, Officer Terms of Reference & the results of the electronic voting in the “Administration” area. Thanks to all the club secretaries for sending in their club voting returns.
During these Covid times when all organised racing is somewhat curtailed we have had to cancel the rest of the formal 2020 calendar, but we need to plan for the future so there is an interesting proposal in the Minutes regarding the 2021 racing structure. Once we know what the MYA are planning regarding the dates for the Nationals and Ranking races etc we will fit our dates around them. We do have a draft calendar in production at this time, but it is not ready for publication until we have a better idea as to what can be achieved whilst staying within the Governments rules and guidelines. Obviously, our main focus will be to get club sailing underway again first.
