Race Report
The final race in the 2019 Scottish District IOM Travellers series was hosted by Tayside RSC at their home waters of Forfar Loch on the 5th October 2019 with Ali Law (Buchanness) acting as Race Officer. Forfar Sailing Club opened up their excellent facilities and provided sustenance throughout the day for the competitors and race team which was much appreciated.
Forfar Loch did live up to its reputation for providing great close racing but a bit more breeze on the day would have been good.

Steve Taylor has forwarded a notice with regards the SD collection for Bart’s Bash at the IOM Woodies on 14th September 2019. This event fell over the weekend 14th/15th September with MYA Districts given free reign on what they wished to do.
As this coincided with the 2019 MYA Scottish District IOM Wooden Championship where we have a good cross section of the district sailing, it was decided that we would have a collection from all those attending. The Competitors stepped up to this and managed to raise a grand total of £62.60 over the course of a blustery but dry day
These monies will be forwarded to the Andrew Simpson Foundation as part of the Scottish District’s support of this worthy cause.
To read Steve’s notice it can be downloaded here (pdf file).
Kinghorn Radio Sailing Club hosted the above event on Saturday 14th September 2019. Copies of the report and results forwarded by Sandy Mackay can be downloaded (pdf) from the link below.
Congratulations go to Ian Dundas (Aberdeen) sailing a Corbie 5, Brian Summers (Tayside) second with a Buzz III and Steve Taylor (Aberdeen) sailing third with another Corbie 5.
