Please read this message from John Owen, SD Chairman, on behalf of the MYA-SD Committee:-
Against this background, the MYA-SD Committee and the relevant host clubs have taken the decision to postpone MYA-SD IOM Travellers 1 (hosted by Ayr Bay) and Travellers 2 (hosted by Levenhall).
If possible, these will be re-arranged for later in the year.
It might mean that venues, host clubs, etc. will require adjustment but those future decisions will depend on prevailing conditions and government advice.
Other events are currently scheduled in early June and the MYA-SD Committee will continue to actively consider arrangements in light of the prevailing conditions and government advice.
MYA-SD club committees and individual members are advised to carefully consider their sailing activities to ensure the health of all their members.

The NOR has been issued for the first event in the 2020 Scottish District IOM Travellers Series to be hosted by the Ayr Bay MYC. It will take place at Beach Park Pond, Harbourside, Irvine on Saturday 21st March 2020 and the event organiser is Bill Lees.
Entry is open to all members of MYA Scottish District Clubs and to visiting members of other MYA Clubs. All boats shall comply with IOM Class rules. Competitors shall be required to undertake to sail in accordance with the RYA Sailing Charter.

Please note that the programme also includes a proposed Training Day, to be hosted by Tayside RSC on Saturday 6th June, which precedes the SD IOM Championship which will be held on the next day at the same venue.

Lorna Rushton has now taken over the role as Club Secretary at the Mid Argyll Radio Sailing Club; full details can be found through the District Clubs page. The SD Flyer has been updated.
The SD 2019 AGM Minutes (pdf) have been published on the District Committee page along with guidance notes for the application of funds from the SD/MYA as discussed during the AGM.
Prior to the AGM on Saturday 26th October 2019, John Owen has compiled a collection of the 2019 SD Committee Reports and those produced by the SD Clubs. These were previously forwarded to club secretaries as individual files.
