  1. Red Wine IOM for sale Built in 1996 by Ian Cole to the Graham Bantock design, this boat is in very good condition. It is complete with 3 rigs (by Graham Bantock), all fittings, stand, sail bags, Whirlwind Olympic sail winch, updated rudder servo, Hitec Optic 6 Sport 2.4ghz TX and matching RX. Several sets of deck patches I spare rudder, slightly smaller than the one fitted, and a spare fin and bulb, again slightly different, so there is plenty of room for experimenting. The boat was measured and registered in April 1996, although the sails were not signed. The boat is in Harwich, Essex. For photos and more details, contact Chris Esdale-Pearson, cjepearson@gmail.com or 07711545062 Asking price £450 What is good enough for Brad Gibson...........
  2. Thank you, David. I had the misfortune to hit something in the water, when the water level was very low in the summer, and the bolt on the fin was bent. I am trying to reset the bulb to it factory setting.

    Bulb upward cant

Good day, Does anyone have an explanation as to why the bulb on an IOM should be canted up at the forward end +/- 2 degrees? How critical is it, and how do you measure it? I made a template of the fin and bulb, and measured 2degrees over the length of the bulb, then measured the "lift". Adjustments were made with flattened crimps in the bulb slot. All a bit crude.
  4. What do clubs use as a countdown timer? We use a locally made one with attached horn, which works fine, but I can't find a commercial one in case ours packs up. I have tried my iphone with a bluetooth speaker....what a fuss. Any suggestions would be welcome.
