THE GREAT NEWS IS THE EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE ON THE 26/27TH OCTOBER 2013
However, due to continued concerns regarding the presence of weed in the Lincoln MYC lake it has been decided to change the venue.
After discussions with local clubs and the MYA Race Officer we have taken the decision to transfer the event and we have been extremely fortunate to have been offered the services and water of SUTTON IN ASHFIELD SAILING CLUB, who sail at king’s mill reservoir very close to Mansfield in Nottinghamshire. Access is both easy and straightforward from both the A1 and the M1. There are a number of hotels in the immediate area , all within 15 minutes of the lake , If you scroll down this page you will find all the information you need. The NOR will be on the site in the next couple of days, but I would suggest you get your entries in as soon as possible to allow the organisers as much time as possible to arrange all the finer details , There is secure car parking on site, within one minute of the water, a very good control area, the galley will be able to supply snacks and sandwiches tea and coffee ( and we hope bacon butties )on Saturday and Sunday, The club will be open from 3pm on Friday for registration and practice sailing .
Their website has more information about the venue. www.suttoninashfieldsailingclub.co.uk/
As previously stated we will be keeping the entry open until Wednesday 23rd Oct for those who wish to attend.
All those who have currently entered will be emailed to ask for confirmation of their entry by Mick Chamberlain of Lincoln MYC
We thank you for your patience and hope that all those eligible will join us at the new venue.
More information is available on the Lincoln MYC website. www.lincolnmodelyachtclub.wordpress.com
