The revised Constitution is now available for all members to see here in our members area. https://mya-uk.org.uk/members-area/#home/council-meeting-docs/
Over the past two years your Council along with the MYA Trustees have been working to bring our Constitution up to date. The result is a Constitution which your Council believe is now fit for purpose and suitable to move the Association forward over the next few years.
You will notice that the revised document is now in two distinct sections.
- The first section is the Constitution itself and is the framework of our organisation, this document can only be changed in the future with a vote by the membership (unlike the current document).
- The second section is the Appendices which set out the day to day working guidelines of the Association and which, by their very nature, may need updating more frequently than the main constitution.
There will be an EGM for members to vote for the new constitution on 25th January 2020 and an announcement of this EGM will be made in accordance with current constitutional requirements.
If you have any observations to make, then please do so by contacting your MYA Club Representative who has been issued with Club voting forms. This should be done before 8th January 2020 so that any necessary adjustments can be made prior to the EGM.
