Bit of confused from our Spanish Correspondent (maybe too much Sangria at De Brief) as the results posted previously are the final results.
The following report has been received:
sorry mate i thought I had sent day two proceedings,, basically, it was a decent day for Cleavy and he seemed to be comfortable in A fleet , I was trying to get as many races in as possible going up and down like a yo yo , Derek was doing ok till lunch time and then he thinks he put his pot lid on cross threaded and suddenly had radio problems ” as you do when the pot is full of water” so his last three races of the day were dns dnf etc etc ,Cleavy, ended the day in B fleet with me , and it had been A suit all day with lighter winds , We all found our humour after the first Gin and Tonic of the evening and the tapa’s were a real treat , day three the Sunday there was a slight delay while the breeze filled in but racing got under way around 1145 am in a very light southerly which made for a tricky beat , Cleavy managed to get up after two races and I seem to recall going up myself only to be dumped in the next race due to a slight incident of argy bargy at the leeward mark ” and it wasn’t me ” still I twanged my band and went down into B fleet , and poor old Derek after drying out the night before was having a torrid time in C fleet in the light drifting conditions . Racing finished at 2 PM and prize giving followed quickly after with only Cleavy showing The Spanish some decent results and finally coming 7 th with Derek 16 th and me a lowly 19 th, but we had a lot of fun , the organizers moved it all on at a good pace with only one protest throughout the entire weekend.
We have been invited to attend the same event next year in May where the event will be held in Barcelona so Calendar permitting I for one will return .
